Mandatory ACLS/PALS Videos To Watch Before your Course

Watching the mandatory videos below before your skills testing can save you time and make your class experience smoother. Our research shows that students who review these materials ahead of time spend less time in the classroom while still mastering the skills they need.

Dedicate a few minutes to these videos, and you’ll be set for a quicker, more efficient course session. Note that these videos are not required if you’re taking BLS or CPR & First Aid classes.

RQI Online Course – What to Expect

Our team sends out the online course links three times a day, between 8 AM and 5 PM. To access the American Heart Association course, you’ll need a computer or tablet—unfortunately, phones aren’t compatible with the platform.

The course is designed to adapt to your current knowledge and skill level. This means the time required can vary based on your experience. Here’s a quick overview of what to expect:

BLS: 1-2 hours, ACLS or PALS 3-4 hours

You don’t have to complete the course all at once. Feel free to start and stop as needed, making it easy to fit the training into your schedule.

ACLS OR PALS - What to Expect

Getting ready for your ACLS or PALS course?

On your scheduled registration date and time, arrive at your testing location with your RQI login credentials and the entry instructions sent to you via text or email. Once you’re ready to begin, follow these simple steps:

  • Put on a pair of gloves provided on site.
  • Use the keyboard or touch screen to enter your login and password on the computer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to start your skills session.

Your session will be guided by the Voice-Assisted Manikin (VAM), which provides clear, step-by-step instructions. While no instructor will be present during the session, you’re not alone—our friendly and dedicated team is just a phone call away if you need assistance.

BLS or CPR/First-aid - What to Expect

Preparing for your BLS or CPR/First Aid skills testing?

On the date and time you registered for, arrive at your testing location prepared to begin your session. Make sure to bring your phone, as the instructor will reach out via text or through the room’s camera system to kick off your skills testing.

You’ll be guided step-by-step by our virtual American Heart Association instructor, ensuring you perform each skill with confidence. Best of all, you’ll receive your certification card on the same day!

Free Keychain CPR Mask

When you attend the course, be sure to grab your free keychain CPR training mask. Available in a variety of vibrant colors, it’s a handy tool for anyone looking to be prepared in an emergency.

Using a CPR breathing mask is essential for practicing universal precautions and ensuring safety while performing CPR. It’s a small but important step that makes a big difference when saving lives.

After completing your American Heart Association training, we’d love to hear from you! Please take a moment to share your experience by leaving a review on Google, Yelp, or Facebook. As a proud women-owned business, your feedback not only helps us grow but also supports the work we do. Thank you!

Performing CPR is Physically Exhausting

CPR can be physically challenging. By registering for a class, please be aware that performing chest compressions on the manikin may cause discomfort or strain to your hands, wrists, arms, or body.

If you have any pre-existing physical conditions—such as pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, weakness, or injuries—we recommend waiting until you feel fully capable before attending.

If you feel exhausted or run out of time, simply call our office. We’ll happily reschedule your session at no additional cost. Alternatively, you’re welcome to take a break and finish your skills in the same session.
